The Silverwater Women's Correctional Centre (formerly known as the Mulawa Correctional Centre) is an Australian female prison facility located in Holker Street Silverwater, a suburb from the Sydney city center. It is located within the Silverwater Correctional Centre which houses male prisoners and other facilities. As of 2008, the facility is being expanded. Fraud is the most common reason for imprisonment. Inmates are eligible to study for national recognised qualifications including vocation and TAFE courses.〔(NSW Government, Corrective Services, Silverwater Women's Correctional Centre ).
